UBS Wealth Management To Close Regional UK Office, Key Staff Leave

UBS Wealth Management is to close its Brighton office in the southeast of England following the departure of two investment managers, WealthBriefing understands. UBS’s Brighton team was boosted to five members by the transfer of David Pegler, a senior client advisor, from London to the regional office in March this year. The identities of the departing investment managers are not yet known, nor are details of their new roles. “UBS Wealth Management in the UK has experienced a sustained period of growth over the past six years and our long-term strategy and growth ambitions remain unchanged. We remain committed to our UK wealth management franchise as well as the long term future of our regional offices,” UBS said in a statement. In addition to its main office in London’s Mayfair district, UBS Wealth Management will have remaining regional UK offices in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle, Taunton and Manchester.
